The Last Ride of the Year

DSC_0069garw

I am a huge fan of self-care.  After all, you cannot take care of anyone else until you take care of yourself.  Too much self neglect places your health at risk and then someone else will have to take care of you.  Self-care.  It is essential.

One of the things I do to take care of myself is riding my bike outdoors.  I love it!  I was sad it was so cold the past few weeks because I could not ride my bike.  I decided to brave the weather and try it one more time.  Do you see the snow in this picture?  That is SNOW!  It snowed on me!  By the time I got back to my car I could no longer feel my legs, my toes, my fingers, pretty much any appendage.  It was my last definitely my last ride of the year.  It makes me sad.  Working out in the gym is fine, but there is something much more satisfying to me about riding outdoors.

What do you do to take good care of yourself?

  1. If I had a bike, I would totally go riding. I love the outdoors more than the gym. All those people can be annoying for me...they're not doing anything to me, minding their own business of course, but I rather do things on my own outdoors. I'm not a fan of the gym. Being in nature helps me feel good and great! I sometimes go to the gym. Right now I'm taking tracks...more because my car needs to be fixed, but I figured I might as well use it and do a little more exercise where I can, even if it is a little bit. I also like to hang out with family and friends and sometimes volunteer and travel. it helps me too. :)
